We've learned that expectations can make a big difference too. It's understandable to begin a reading hoping to hear about one particular person, name, or memory, but Mediumship doesn't always unfold in the way someone expects. Going into a reading with one fixed outcome in mind can sometimes lead to disappointment.

Another important lesson is that a good medium doesn't need to have an answer for everything.

You don't need to understand psychic terminology or know how Mediumship is supposed to work. A good medium should explain anything you don't understand and allow the conversation to develop naturally.

It's perfectly understandable to hope that a certain loved one will be mentioned, but no responsible medium should guarantee this. Try to listen to what the reader actually receives rather than waiting for one specific name, person, or message.

• 3. It's okay to say, "That Doesn't Make Sense to Me"

You don't have to agree with everything you're told. If you don't recognise an impression, say so. You can also ask the medium to explain or clarify what they mean rather than trying to make the information fit.
