How to Work Out Your Personality Number

As mentioned previous, each consonant will be assigned a number (shown in the table above) you can see this number in the chart below. It’s important to remember that the letter Y can be considered as a vowel, however, this is dependent on where it is placed in your name.

What Are Personality Numbers?

Y should be considered a vowel for any of the following reasons.

  • The word doesn’t have any other vowels in it, such as the word gym.
  • The letter is at the end of your name, such as Ashley.
  • The letter is at the end of a syllable and adds and additional sound when pronounced, such as Mya or Kyle.

When the letter Y is used at the start of a name or syllable, it’s considered to be a consonant. So, the letter Y in the name Yoda would be a consonant; the letter Y would also be considered a consonant in the name Layton because it doesn’t add an additional sound to the vowel that came before it. Outside of these rules, you can use Y as a consonant when working out your Personality Number.

Step 1

To get started, write down your full name, including any middle names; for this example, we’ll use mine, Xavier Jones.

Step 2

Now it’s time to assign each consonant in my name a number (from the table above).

What Are Personality Numbers?

Step 3

Add the numbers together.

6 + 4 + 9 + 1 + 5 + 1 = 26

Unless the total number is 11, 22, or 33 Master Numbers) you will need to breakdown this total until you reach a single digit (or Master Number). To break down this number, you have to add the total together, so, for this example, it would work out as follows:

2 + 6 = 8

So, there you have it, my Personality Number is 8.

Using the above method, you should now be able to work out what your Personality Number and what it means.
